Children’s Social Dance Cotillions
See below for this year’s information and to register!
These programs introduce students to the technique of the various forms of social dances at an elementary level while instilling the skills and knowledge of behavior expected when attending social events.
The Kennett Square Junior Cotillion offers children in our community lessons in social etiquette, dining etiquette, ethics and social dance instruction. Our program is a great opportunity to meet new friends and build self-confidence. We promote character development and help set boundaries.
The children learn music appreciation, basic dance movements, timing and coordination. We are fortunate to have the expertise of professionally trained dance instructors.
Children begin by learning social etiquette and appropriate situational manners. Each week offers a different lesson in everyday manners, formal manners, character education, electronic etiquette and dance instruction.
At the end of the program, all of the children will participate in a formal dance. Parents are welcome to join in.
